What is inside a Nestle Big Turk? Did you guess Turkish Delight? You’re almost 100 percent correct. The more common adjective would be “chewy goodness”. That’s what is hiding UNDER that thin layer of Nestle chocolate. One bite and you will see the unique pink center. It’s definitely a mouth full – just like your Momma said. But don’t strike up a conversation yet – there’s much more to go – approximately 60 grams worth.
Most of the other Nestle chocolate bars are in the range of 45 to 50 grams each. 60-grams puts you on the Front Porch with the other Big Dawgs. It might take a while to work through a chocolate bar – but when you have been working hard all morning (or at least The Boss thinks you been working hard…) then take a break and unwrap a Nestle Big Turk bar.
Turkish Delight might have been the greatest challenge for the Marketing Department – but what others might consider to be a somewhat strange, pink, jelly filling translates into less time standing in line at your favorite candy counter. No line, no waiting – these Big Turks might be the best kept secret in Candy Land. Willie Wonka might have been a chocolate maven – but I think just over looked the Big Turk. Which is a good thing! I doubt there will ever be a movie based on the Big Turk candy bar.
