Nestle Big Turk – A Very Unique Canadian candy bar!

Nestle Big Turk is more than “…just a chocolate bar…” made by Nestlé Canada.  Possibly one of the more unique candy bars on the market – it stands out by having just a very “thin” chocolate coating over pink Turkish Delight. Unfortunately, not all fans of Canadian chocolate bars find it appealing.  Which is a good thing. Less customers means less competition at the retail counter.  Nobody wants to stand in line for this item. Let’s be honest – it’s an acquired taste.  Don’t know what Turkish delight is?  I would describe the center filling to be similar to a raspberry jelly flavored filling.  No – not the typical Smuckers jelly style – and definitely not as “gummy” as a gummy bear.  Think of something between those two extremes and you will a better idea.

Better that you should start early in Life sampling all of the other Nestle chocolate products before you step up to a Nestle Big Turk.  Size-wise, it weights in at a pretty hefty 60 grams.  Bigger than most – which means more Nestle chocolate goodness for your money. Value conscious?  Then this Nestle Bad Boy was made for you!

For those who may be diet conscious out there – a 60 gram bar will contain about 4 grams of fat. Now, I won’t lie to you – if you are having a weight issue – then low fat is good and NO fat is better. Bottom Line?  All of you dieters out there can still indulge during a weak moment!

If you are planning a summer picnic or may be attending a July 4th parade in your neighborhood –t hen the Big Turk is right up your alley. This bar is all wrapped up in a colorful red, white and blue colors. Hey – just think of the money you will save on American flags. Plan ahead and save the wrappers, then tape them to a thin dowel and Voila – you have your own flag! The American Legion and V.F.W. folks will love you!
